Perioperative nurses, also known as Operating Room (OR) Nurses, assist surgeons and anesthesiologists by selecting and handling instruments, controlling bleeding, and suturing incisions. They also care for patients undergoing invasive procedures during the preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative periods. This role may expand to Circulator Nurse or Scrub Nurse.
